Jorge Maryano




Dear friends!
Our first teacher we want to introduce is our beloved Grande Mestre Jorge Maryano!
Jorge started his dancing career in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro at the age of 15 as an assistant teacher in his uncle’s Amigos Da Danca school. A little bit later he became one of the leading teachers in Alvaro Reys’s school. This experience helped him to earn a degree in Samba de Gafieira and Tango teaching.
While working in Alvaro Reys’s school Jorge met Adilio Porto and Leonardo Neves that became his first Brazillian Zouk teachers.
At the age of 21 he was invited to work as a teacher and choreographer at one of the most popular dancing schools in Prague called Dance Planet.
From 2007 to 2010 Jorge had been teaching Zouk and Samba in Tradicion Group de Baile dancing company in Prague.
Furthermore, he started to learn Cuban Salsaa, Afro and Rumba in 2007. His teachers were Doris Martinez, Andria Panaiyi, Leon el Rumbero and Alberto Valdes.
Talented and full of energy, Jorge could not live without expanding his horizons so he went to Cyprus to become a founder of Brazillian Social Dance Cyprus school. Also, he used to teach and organize Samba de Gafieira events and seminars in Saudades de Brasil school in Lyon, France.
In 2014 he moved to Moscow, Russia to teach Brazillian dance in his own school called Rio Dance Academy and develop Braziillian culture here. On weekends he usually travels to different Russian towns and cities to hold Zouk and Samba workshops.
Jorge has been a real inspiration to the dancers all around the World because of his unique choreography ant the ability to mix different dancing styles. He took part in dancing congresses in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Macedonia, France, Cyprus, Russia, Germany, Holland, Spain in Brasil. Also, he took part in Olympic Games opening ceremony in Switzerland.
